Marketing strategy Know what your marketing needs to do.
Most marketing waste starts before anything is designed or bought. We research what you sell, who buys it and where your effort will bring in the most work, then turn that into a plan you can actually follow.
A plan, not a list of tasks.
A post here, an ad there, a new page because a competitor has one. Without a shared direction, marketing turns into a to-do list, and it’s hard to tell which parts deserve the budget.
We start with the business: what you sell, who’s most likely to buy it, why they’d choose you and how they find you now. The plan comes out of that, not the other way round.
Our rule
We won’t recommend a channel because it’s fashionable.
If something won’t bring in work for a business like yours, we’ll say so, even if it makes the plan smaller.
What we do
Audience and offer
Who buys, what they compare you against and what makes you worth choosing. The answer shapes everything else.
Channels
Where your customers actually look, and which two or three channels deserve your time and money. Not all of them.
Message
One clear story that your website, ads and posts all tell. We look for gaps between what you offer and what people see.
Measurement
What counts as success and how you’ll see it, so the plan can be judged. If the tracking isn’t there, we set it up.
Reviewing a plan you have
If you already have a strategy, we’ll test it against what’s actually happening and change only what needs changing.
Research and workshops
Customer, competitor and search research, and workshops that get the people who decide agreeing on the plan.
When it’s worth it
- You’re spending on several channels and can’t say which deserve more.
- Your marketing feels reactive, decided week to week.
- The business has changed, but the marketing hasn’t caught up.
- You’re about to launch a service, cover a new area or reach a new audience.
- You have data, but it isn’t turning into decisions.
When it isn’t
If you already know exactly what needs doing and just need it done, you don’t need a strategy project. Tell us the job and we’ll get on with it.
How we work
- Pinpoint. We look at what you sell, who buys it, where enquiries come from today and where they leak away.
- Piece together. We turn that into priorities: the audience, the message, two or three channels and how each will be measured.
- Prove. We check the plan against real enquiries and bookings in your monthly reporting, and change it when the numbers say so.
Questions
What do we get at the end?
A short written plan: who you’re targeting, what you’ll say, which channels to use and in what order, what to stop doing, and how you’ll measure it. Not a 60-page deck.
What happens in a workshop?
A half-day or full-day session with the people who make the decisions. We share what the research found, agree the audience, message and priorities, and leave with decisions written down, not a list of ideas.
We already have a strategy. Can you review it?
Yes. Starting again isn’t always needed. We’ll tell you which parts are holding up and which aren’t.
Do you also put the plan into action?
If you want us to. Strategy sits alongside our work on websites, search, ads, tracking and automation, so the plan and the work don’t drift apart.
Will you recommend every channel?
No. If a channel is unlikely to bring in work for you, we’ll say so.
