Website design A website that makes you easier to choose.
Your website is often where someone decides whether to get in touch. We design and build sites that explain what you do in seconds, work properly on a phone and make the next step obvious.
Looking good isn’t the job.
Plenty of websites look fine and book no one. The phone number is buried, the services are vague and the form asks for ten things.
We start with what visitors need in order to decide, then design around it: structure, words, proof and a clear way to get in touch.
Our rule
Every page has one job.
If we can’t say what a page is for and what visitors should do next, it doesn’t go on the site.
What we do
Structure
Which pages you need, what goes on each and how people move between them.
Words and proof
Clear copy, real photos, reviews and accreditations, so visitors trust what they read.
Design
A look built around your brand, with type, layout and colour that make the important things stand out.
Mobile first
Designed for the phone, where most of your visitors are, then scaled up.
Built to be found
Fast, accessible and set up for search from day one, not fixed afterwards.
Measured from launch
Tracking and consent in place before launch, so you know what the site brings in.
When it’s worth it
- Your site no longer reflects the business.
- Visitors can’t tell what you do within a few seconds.
- It’s hard to get in touch on a phone.
- You can’t update it without help.
- It gets visits but very few enquiries.
When it isn’t
If the site is broadly fine and you need a focused page for a campaign, a full redesign is overkill. A landing page may do the job.
How we work
- Pinpoint. We look at your business, your customers and your current site, and agree what the new site must achieve.
- Piece together. We plan the structure, write and design the pages, and build the site with tracking and search set up.
- Prove. After launch we watch how people use it and what it brings in, and fix what isn’t working.
Questions
Can you redesign our existing site?
Yes. We’ll keep what works, including the pages that already bring in search traffic.
Will we be able to update it ourselves?
Yes, if you want to. We’ll agree how you’ll edit it before we build, and show you how.
Do you write the content?
We can. Clear words matter more than design, so we usually write or edit the main pages.
Will a new website improve our Google rankings?
Not automatically. A well-built site removes obstacles, but rankings also depend on content, competition and ongoing work.
Who owns the website?
You do: the domain, the hosting account, the files and the content.
