Brand identity design An identity that holds up everywhere you’re seen.

Your brand is seen on a phone, a van, a Google listing and a shop front, often in the same week. We design identities that stay recognisable at every size, with guidelines simple enough for anyone to follow.

A logo isn’t a brand.

A logo on its own doesn’t tell anyone what you do or why to pick you. What people remember is the whole system: colour, type, images, words and how consistently they’re used.

So we design the system, not just the mark, and test it where it will actually live before anything is signed off.

Our rule

If it doesn’t work small, it doesn’t work.

Every identity is tested at favicon size, on a phone and in a Google listing before we show it to you.

What we do

Logo and mark

A logo and a simple mark that still read at 16 pixels, in one colour and over a busy photo.

Colour and type

A palette and type choices with clear rules, checked for contrast so text stays readable.

Image style

How photos, illustration or 3D should look, so everything you post feels like it came from the same place.

Guidelines

A short, practical guide with clear dos and don’ts, written for whoever makes your next post or leaflet.

Templates

Social posts, slides and documents set up in the tools you already use, so staying on brand is the easy option.

Rolled out properly

Your website, Google Business Profile and social profiles updated, so the new look appears where customers see it.

When it’s worth it

  • You’re launching, or relaunching after a change in direction.
  • Your look has drifted, and every post and leaflet is slightly different.
  • Your logo falls apart when it’s small or in one colour.
  • You look less established than you are.

When it isn’t

If customers don’t understand what you do, a new look won’t fix that. Start with brand strategy, and the identity follows from it.

How we work

  1. Pinpoint. We look at your business, your competitors and where your brand is seen, and agree what the identity has to say.
  2. Piece together. We design two or three directions, test them at real sizes, then develop the one you choose into a full system.
  3. Prove. We hand over the files, guidelines and templates, and update your key profiles so the new identity goes live in one go.

Questions

How many logo options will we see?

Usually two or three distinct directions, each shown in use. More options rarely lead to a better decision.

What files do we get?

Everything you need for screen and print, in the usual formats and organised so you can find them. You own all of it.

Can you refresh our logo rather than replace it?

Yes. If your logo has recognition worth keeping, a refresh is often the better choice.

Do you design the website too?

We can. Designing the website alongside the identity means the brand is built for the screen from the start.
